By installing or using RIFACTS ("the Add-on"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Add-on.

2. Description of Service

RIFACTS is a Google Docs sidebar add-on that helps users compare text claims against evidence stored in Google Drive. The Add-on uses the Google Gemini 2.0 Flash API to perform AI-based analysis and return scored results.

3. Eligibility

You must have a Google Workspace or Google account to use RIFACTS. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and your Gemini API key.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use RIFACTS only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you agree not to:

Use the Add-on to process data you do not have the right to access
Attempt to circumvent any Google API rate limits or usage policies
Redistribute the Add-on under a different name without attribution
Use the Add-on for any purpose that violates applicable laws

5. Intellectual Property

RIFACTS is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the terms of that license.

RIFACTS is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The AI-generated scores and analysis are not a substitute for human editorial judgment, professional fact-checking, or legal advice.

We make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the AI-generated results. Always verify findings through independent sources before publishing.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the authors and contributors of RIFACTS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

Your use of or inability to use the Add-on
Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the AI-generated analysis
Unauthorized access to your data through your Google account
Any third-party services (Google APIs, Gemini API) used by the Add-on

You may stop using RIFACTS at any time by removing the Add-on from your Google Docs. You can revoke its permissions from your Google Account Permissions page.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
